GATE 2015: Mock test for exam released

Candidates appearing forGATE 2015can now access the mock test fromGATE 2015official website. The examinations for all the 22 papers will be conducted by an Online Computer Based Test (CBT) between January 31, 2015 and February 8, 2015.

Mock test will help candidates to get familiar with the exam pattern and type of questions that will be asked during the exam. Candidates can use the mock test from the website using password and roll number given to them.

GATE 2014 Mock Test:

  • Total duration of theGATE 2015examination is 180 minutes. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer at the top right corner of screen will display the remaining time available to complete the examination. When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself.
  • There will be a question Palette displayed on the right side of screen will show the status of each question using one of the following symbols:
  1. White Mark: You have not visited the question yet.
  2. Orange Mark: You have not answered the question.
  3. Green Mark: You have answered the question.
  4. Purple: You have not answered the question, but have marked the question for review.
  5. Purple with a tick: You have answered the question, but marked it for review.

The exam is conducted by by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Phone calls on issue related to GATE 2015 can be made during 9 am to 5 pm only.

Important Dates:
GATE 2015 Online Examination will be conducted on January 31, 1st, 7th and 8th February, 2015.
Admit cards will be available for download from December 17, 2015.
Results will be declared on the website on March 12, 2015
