All India rankings of the JEE (main) 2014 declared, Srinidhi tops

New delhi :The wait of 12.5 lakh engineering aspirants is over. All India rankings of the JEE (main) 2014 have been announced.

The All India rankings of the JEE (main) 2014 have finally been declaredby Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the competent authority which conducted the national level test for engineering. Srinidhi Prabhu, a native of Udupi district, has topped the exams by grabbing the first rank all over the nation. Srinidhi, a student of Narayana PU College at C V Raman Nagar, Bangalore, is the son of Shashidhar Prabhu, who works as a finance head in the Indian Academy of Science. His mother is a scientist at DRDO Bangalore.

There was a delay in the announcement but now the all India rankings for JEE main will be used by central institutes like NITs and IIITs, and other prestigious intitutes for admissions to undergraduate engineering and architecture courses. The JEE (main) final All India Rank 2014 will be based on a combination of JEE mains scores (worth 60% weightage) and Class 12 results (for 40% weightage).

JEE (main) scores are already out. The candidates can check their all India ranking by selecting their education board, entering their application number, JEE (main) roll number and date of birth. In case of any discrepancy, candidates will be required to upload their official marksheet. The JEE (Main) counseling which was scheduled to begin from July 1 will start only once the All India Ranks are declared.This year, the counseling session consists of four rounds of seat allotment, followed by a spot admission round.
