Sri Lankan prime minister D M Jayaratne will be the chief guest for the 19th convocation of Manipal University to be held at KMC Greens on November 8. The convocation is spread over two days to facilitate distribution of degrees to over 3,000 undergraduate and post graduate students. The chief guest for the second day is Banmali Agrawala, president and CEO of GE South Asia. The Sunday programme begins at 9.30am. On first day, awardees include gold medallists, PhD scholars, undergraduates and postgraduates of all disciplines except engineering. Second day has been set aside for the graduating students of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT).
