International study group meetingNovember 3, 2014
VADODARA: M S University's Centre for Industrial Mathematics has collaborated with Finland's Lappeenranta University of Technology to organize an Indo-European study group meeting on industrial problems. The meeting will be held from January 5 to January 9 at Faculty of Technology and Engineering.
During the meet, participants will be divided into various groups and each group will be assigned a particular industry problem.
Over the next three days the groups will study the problem and devise a mathematical solution to effectively address the problems.
"The industrial problems are identified from the fields of environment, pharmacy, automobiles and renewable energy among others," said Nilima Shah, a faculty member of Department of Applied Mathematics. "We have participation from countries including Japan, Australia, Finland and United Kingdom."
