J & K govt introduced “Aapka School Aapke Gaon” scheme

October 28, 2014

The recent Pakistani firing has caused suffering for students living along the International Border and to mitigate the academic losses, the Jammu and Kashmir government has introduced a new scheme. Launched under the Border Areas Development Programme, “Aapka School Aapke Gaon” aims to facilitate the studies of the students affected due to border firing and would provide additional classes to cope up with the academic losses, as per reports. The scheme would benefit the students located within the range of five kilometers of the International Border and Line of Control. With this scheme, the district administration would identify a suitable place in every border village for accomodating students and would also ensure arrangements for lighting and seating for them.
