New Delhi: Even when almost all the popular colleges under Delhi University (DU) have packed off UG admissions for the academic year 2014-15, the varsity has released the fifth cut-off list.
The eligible candidates who meet the requirements notified in the Fifth Admission cut-off list are further advised to complete their admission formalities in the colleges concerned from July 14 and 15 within the stipulated time.
Admissions are now open in only a handful of Delhi University colleges, including some in North Campus.
Admissions to B.Com (programme) are open in eight colleges, including Kirori Mal, Ramjas and SGTB Khalsa College. B. Com (Honours) is available in Indraprastha College with a cut-off of 95.75 per cent and PGDAV College with a cut-off of 93 per cent.
Seats are available in Economics in Hansraj and Hindu Colleges. At Hansraj, cut-offs are down just by a mark to 96.5 per cent to 97 per cent.
Admissions will take place in English through the fifth list at Hansraj, Hindu and Maharaja Agrasen. Hindu's cut-off for English is 95.5 per cent to 97 per cent and Hansraj's cut-off is 94.5 per cent to 96 per cent.
Among Science courses, seats are available in Chemistry and Zoology at Daulat Ram College; Mathematics, Botany, Computer Science and B.Sc. Physical Sciences at Hansraj; and Physics, Zoology and Statistics at Hindu.
DU issued a second list for the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB). Cut-offs for the two courses that NCWEB runs -- BA (programme) and B.Com (programme) - are over 80 per cent at all of its centres except Siddharth International School. Cut-offs in the first list for this group has increased drastically from last year, though the drop in the cut-off from the first to second list is more significant as compared with mainstream colleges.
