PATNA: Thousands of CBSE class XII students in the state aspiring to join engineering, medical or regular colleges across the country are in a fix as they haven't received their mark-sheet yet. In fact, a number of students may be deprived of getting admission to a college or university of their choice as most of the institutions require students to submit original documents at the time of registration.
According to CBSE officials, in the previous years the Delhi office used to send the original mark-sheet and certificate to the regional offices within a week of declaration of results and it reached the respective schools in the next two - three days. However, this year, the class XII results were declared on May 28 and the class X results were announced on May 20, but, the marks statement and certificate of both classes are yet to reach the Patna regional office.
Students who have taken various competitive exams for pursuing engineering, medical or professional courses are a worried lot as most of the colleges will start counselling sessions starting from next week when the students will be expected to furnish their original certificates to reserve their seats.
