Chandigardh : Punjab Board Class 10th results are to be declared tomorrow, though the statistical data has been released already and is available on the official website. A total of 375358 candidates appeared for the exams wherein 341791 candidates belonged to regular category and 33567 candidates are from the open category.
Out of the total candidates that appeared for the Punjab Board 10th exams, 2,71,196 students qualified the exams resulting to an overall passing percentage of 72.25 percent which is 3 percent more than last year's which was 69.23 percent. The passing percentage among the girls this year is 79.60 which has crossed the passing percentage of boys which is 66.72 percent. Ludhiana came out to be the district with maximum number of merit holders i.e. a total of 64.
Rural students: 72.47 percent
Urban students: 71.85 percent
Affiliated/ Associated/ Adarsh schools: 73.12 percent
Government schools: 71.76 percent
Aided schools: 65.01 percent
The Punjab Board 10th Class has been topped by Riya Garg holding an overall percentage of 97.69 percent. Riya from RS Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Ludhiana scored a total of 635 out of 650 marks. The second rank has been obtained by Mahima Nagpal and Ankush Mahajan who have secured a total of 632 out of 650 marks and an overall percentage of 97.23 percent. The third position has been shared by four students:
Jannatpreet Kaur, Gaganjot Kaur, Muskan Garg, Lokesh Mahajan with 96.92 percent.
Individual results can be checked by the candidates tomorrow, once they are declared, on the official website of the Board by inserting their roll number and date of birth.
