CA Final, CPT result 2014: know the top three rank holdersJanuary 21, 2015
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the results for Chartered Accountants Final Examination (held in November, 2014) and Common Proficiency Test (held in December, 2014) on January 19, 2015.
The top three rank holders on all India basis of Chartered Accountants Final Examinations held in November, 2014 are from Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Nandurbar (Maharashtra) & Howrah (Kolkata)respectively. Total 36254 candidates appeared for the exam for both the groups out of which total 2983 has cleared the exam. The total pass percentage for both the group is 8.23%.
And the top three rank holders of Common Proficiency Test (Paper-Pencil Mode) held in December, 2014 are from Vijayawada, Kathmandu, Raipur & Guntur.
Total 1,00,957 candidares appeared for the exam in total 383 exam centres, out of which total 14,880 candidates cleared the exam. The total pass percentage is 14.74%.
CA. K.Raghu, President, ICAI said "The Chartered Accountancy is a highly prestigious course and is one of the most significant segments of the economy. CAs today are in great demand not only in the traditional sectors like banking, financial services or manufacturing but even in the new generation sectors like the IT, ITS, telecom, Risk and Assurance Services ,Infrastructure and Retail etc. Chartered Accountancy has now emerged as a unique profession of considerable importance in view of the integrated globalized scenario."
Since December 1949, the Chartered Accountancy Examination is held twice in a year.
