MBA aspirants will have to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) for the session 2014 on
either of the two days - November 16 and November 22.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) - Indore will conduct the exam this year. The
registration process will start August 06 onwards.
Date of commencement of online registration: August 6, 2014 (Wednesday)
Last date of registration: September 30, 2014 (Tuesday)
Download of Admit Card: October 16, 2014 (Thursday)
CAT exam dates (forenoon and afternoon sessions): November 16, 2014 (Sunday) and
November 22, 2014 (Saturday)
Tentative dates for Results: Third week of December 2014
CAT 2013 was held for 20 days, from October 16 to November 11, 2013. This year however
there is a change in pattern as the exam concludes in two days.
IT partners for conducting the exam has also changed. Tata Consultancy Services Limited
(TCS) will conduct the exams this year.
To be eligible for appearing in CAT, candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with at least
50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA [45 per cent in case of the candidates belonging to
Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (It may also referred
to as Persons with Disability (PWD) category)], awarded by any of the govt recognised

on the basis of their performance at Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and
