UGC NET June 2014: Exam on June 29

New Delhi : The UGC NET June 2014 is just a few days away. The exam is set to be held on Sunday, June 29. The exam is conducted by University Grants Commission to screen candidates who seek to work at the post of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

NET will be held in 79 subjects, including Economics, Political Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, History, Anthropology, Commerce, Education, Social Work, Defence and Strategic Studies, Home Science, Public Administration, Population Studies, Music, Management besides others.

UGC NET will consist of three papers. The paper will be in objective type multiple choice questions format. The three papers will have 175 questions in all, each carrying 2 marks totaling it to 350 marks.

General instructions for the candidates appearing for the exam are listed below:

No calculators or Log Tables will be allowed in the examination hall. Mobile phones, pagers, electronic devices etc. are prohibited in the examination hall.

The candidates who do not appear in Paper I will not be permitted to sit for Paper II and Paper III.

The candidates are not allowed to write any question from the test booklet on the admission card or any other paper.

There are no negative marks for incorrect answers.

The candidates who are not able to find out their seating arrangement / venue of test from the website of the respective NET Coordinating Institution for appearing in the UGC-NET till June 19 are advised to contact the office of Registrar/ Principal/ Co-ordinator of their UGC-NET Coordinating Institutions from June 20 to June 28.
